Ellie + Lion

Ellie and Lion is a Swedish all-season organic clothing range for babies and toddlers. Our minimalist, functional designs are made from the softest GOTS certified organic cotton, and feature our unique animal motifs and animal inspired prints.

We don’t follow fashion seasons or trends - we create comfortable, unisex pieces that are made to last, are kind to your child's skin, and to our planet.

DESIGN

Our unique animal motifs are drawn by hand before being digitalised, to create a clean, contemporary effect. This emphasises the animal's true characteristics, yet keeps them minimalist, making them as cool as they are cute. Our growing animal kingdom has become loved by the style conscious parent just as much as their child. All of our animal motifs and print patterns are designed exclusively for Ellie and Lion. 

With functionality a focus, our clothing is designed for easy changing without sacrificing style. The organic playsuits and baby sleepsuits feature two-way zippers, and the bodysuits and sweaters feature snap clips at the neck. The result is a kids clothing range that is minimal and functional in design, with options for your child to wear all year round.

SUSTAINABILITY

At Ellie and Lion we believe that we are responsible as a children's clothing brand, to limit our footprint on this planet in every way we can. All of our packaging from production house through to consumer is now compostable or re-usable. To further reduce waste, some of our designs are made from left-over organic fabric stocked in our production house. We believe that everyone can make a difference if we are more conscious in how, and what we consume.

To ensure we produce the most eco-friendly clothing, we only use the highest quality GOTS certified cotton and dyes. Ellie and Lion's production house in India is certified by GOTS (Global Organic Textiles Standard) and meet high-level environmental criteria along the entire organic textiles supply chain in the quality of the fabric and dyes, and also fair trade for it's employees in the workplace. 

GOTS is recognised as the world's leading processing standard for textiles made from organic fibres.
